Description:
Any suspension lift kit of 2" or more can benefit from a Transfer Case Lowering Kit to minimize or eliminate any driveline vibration by decreasing driveshaft angles and making them closer to stock. This kit is easy to install and includes all necessary hardware. Factory bolt and stud is removed from each side of transfer case crossmember and replaced with spacer bracket and new hardware. Floorjack is required to install.

Don't forget to include these great items!

Question Answer
I am buying a transfer case lowering kit from you, and I need to know which transfer case kit I need. I have a 2001 XJ with a 3" Rough Country lift. I may go 4" in the future but that is only a "maybe". Which kit do I need? 1" or 1/2"?
I am not having "bump" problems, but there is definitely a noticeable driveline vibration at around 35 mph and then again at 55 mph. So, looks like I need the 1".
With the transfer case kits, if you are currently having "bump" problems in the drive line, I would definitely go with the 1" kit, especially if you are thinking about lifting higher. If you're not having any problems and the bigger lift is only a "maybe", you would be fine with the 1/2", to relieve pressure in the angles.
I need to use this kit. How do I get the stud out, and is the bolt replacement OK? I've looked at it and wondered. The threaded bolt can be unscrewed by putting two nuts on the threaded portion, and tightening them together. Then, using the nuts, rotate the threaded stud out just like you would the other hex head bolt.  You can use the 2 factory nuts, one from each side. There is always the chance that the stud might be rusted in place, so it's a good idea to soak it with some WD-40 or liquid wrench and let it sit a few minutes before you take it out. The replacement bolts are the same type and material, just longer, anyone who makes the transfer case drop kit uses the same method of attaching it.
